The Swedish Research Barometer 2017

The Swedish research system in international comparison

The Swedish Research Barometer provides a picture of the state of Swedish research through some thirty indicators. Focus is on public funding of research, and research carried out at universities and university colleges.

The Swedish Research Barometer describes three parts of the research system: financial resources, the personnel in the system and the results that are generated in terms of publications. The compilation is based on national and international data, relevant to research policy, previously not presented in this form.

The Research Barometer 2017 is an update and further development of the first barometer, published in 2016. In the future, the Research Barometer will be published every second year; the next Research Barometer will be published in 2019.
