The Swedish Research Council´s guide to research infrastructure 2023

The Swedish Research Council’s Guide to infrastructure 2023 is a plan for how Swedish researchers in academia, the public sector and industry are to access the most sophisticated research infrastructure in Sweden and other countries.

Research infrastructures are advanced tools for research, for example central or distributed research facilities, databases or large-scale resources for computation, analysis and modelling.

The Guide to infrastructure is the Swedish Research Council’s guidebook to Sweden’s long-term need for national and international research infrastructure. It provides documentation for our internal discussions about funding future infrastructures, but also for consultation with other research funding bodies nationally and internationally, and as one of several supporting documents for the Swedish Research Council’s input to the Government’s research and innovation bill.

The Swedish Research Council published the first edition of the guide in 2006. It has been supplemented with updated editions in 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2018.
