Apply for project grant within research for a sustainable energy system
The call for project proposals within curiosity-driven research for a sustainable energy system is issued by the Swedish Energy Agency in collaboration with the Swedish Research Council. This year we are welcoming applications within humanities and social sciences research as well as within natural and engineering sciences. Deadline for applications is 26 February 2020.
New scientific perspectives and more active researchers are needed within the energy area to achieve the energy and climate policy goals. The call for project grants within curiosity-driven research for a sustainable energy system therefore covers research both within natural and engineering sciences (NT) and within humanities and social sciences (HS).
The initiative covers 125 million SEK in total. In this call, the Swedish Energy Agency provides room for curiosity-driven research into energy with the potential to contribute in the long term to development of the energy system.
The call is divided up into two categories. You can read more and apply on the Swedish Energy Agency’s website:
Category A – HS External link.
The call supports research projects with the potential to contribute new knowledge and increased understanding of problems, opportunities and challenges linked to the energy area. The projects shall be based on social sciences and humanities perspectives, questions and methods.
Contact person: Fredrik Brändström, 016-542 06 25
Category B – NT External link.
The call supports energy-related basic research projects within natural and engineering sciences.
