Nordic collaboration

The Swedish Research Council collaborates with Nordic organisations and national research funding bodies in the Nordic countries on policy issues and joint research funding.

On this page we describe our work on international policy issues. Information about funding for researchers is available from the organisations we collaborate with. Some of our collaborations result in calls being issued. For these, you will find all the information you need here on the website.

Nordic Heads of Research Councils, NordHORCs

The heads of the research councils in the Nordic countries meet in an informal association, the Nordic Heads of Research Councils, NordHORCs, in order to discuss policy issues and exchange information.

NordForsk

The Swedish Research Council also participates on the board of NordForsk, which is a collaboration between research funding bodies within the framework of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

In addition, we have representatives on the Joint Committees of the Nordic Councils for Medical Research (NOS-M), Natural Sciences (NOS-N), Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS), and in the Nordic Publishing Committee for Humanities and Social Sciences (NOP-HS).
