Call within Development Research opening on 27 March: Research into sustainability and resilience

On 27 March, a call opens within Development Research, focusing on research into sustainability and resilience.

In addition to the calls within Development Research that opened on 7 March, a further call for project grant proposals within Development Research opens on 27 march. The focus is on the priority area of research into sustainability and resilience.

Climate and environmental changes impact severely on populations in low income countries. Research into resilience and sustainability contribute to understanding and managing risks and effects of extreme weather conditions, the loss of biodiversity and other threats against societies, humans and eco systems. A great need for such research therefore exists.

The call for project grant proposals within “Sustainability and resilience – Tackling consequences of climate and environmental changes” is made in collaboration between the Swedish Research Council, Formas, Forte and Sida.

At least one researcher from a low income or lower middle income country, and one junior researcher from a university in Sweden, must participate in the research project.

The deadline for the call is 8 May.
