Decision - Research collaboration with Southeast Asia on antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases

Decisions have been taken within the Southeast Asia - Europe Joint Funding Scheme for Research and Innovation in the thematic areas of Health, Environment / Climate Change. In this call, the Swedish Research Council supports research projects relating to antimicrobial resistance and emerging infectious diseases.

The Swedish Research Council participates together with Formas in a Joint Funding Scheme (JFS) between Europe and member countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Participating countries from Europe are Belgium, France, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey and Germany. From Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam participate.

The announcement aims to promote cooperation between research groups from Europe and Southeast Asia. To be eligible for funding, a project must have at least three participating partners, and at least one of these should be from any participating ASEAN country.
